Join retirees and in-service teachers from around New York State for a Rally for the Future of Public Education. Buses will leave from the NYSUT offioce in Hauppauge at 7:30 am. The rally is scheduled from noon to 3:00 pm.
The 2% tax cap has had a devastating impact on our schools. Districts have shortened school days, curtailed or eliminated programs, increased class size, and excessed teachers -- more than 30,00 professionals in the past few years.
Come out and support adequate funding for education in New York State!
